Kyrgyz Adoption Process
The Kyrgyz Republic’s adoption process is one of the most stable in Central Asia, with clear steps and consistent procedures guiding each stage. At World Links, we guide you through every detail so your focus stays on what matters most – bringing your child home and building your life together as a family.
A Path Defined by Care
Our 8-step roadmap is designed to provide clarity and peace of mind as you move through the Kyrgyz process.
Step 1: Start the Conversation
This is where your path begins. Take time to get to know us, ask questions, and share what you’re hoping for. We’ll walk you through the process and help you take your first step toward bringing your child home.
Step 2: Complete Your Home Study
The home study is a required part of the adoption process. It must be completed by a Hague-accredited agency. If you live in Pennsylvania, we can complete it for you. If you are out of state, we will connect you with trusted providers. This step takes time and preparation, and we will guide you through it.
Step 3: Prepare Your Documents
Preparing your dossier involves collecting a set of supporting documents alongside your home study. We will provide a clear list and guide you through each requirement so everything is completed correctly.
Step 4: Submit Your Dossier to the Kyrgyz Republic
Once your documents are complete, World Links will submit your dossier to the central adoption authority in the Kyrgyz Republic. This allows you to be considered for referrals and to begin receiving confidential reports about waiting children.
Step 5: Wait for a Referral
The central adoption authority in the Kyrgyz Republic will share information about children in need of families. World Links will help you review each referral and answer any questions so you can make a confident decision.
Step 6: Accept Your Referral and Meet Your Child
Once you move forward with a referral, you will travel to the Kyrgyz Republic to meet your child. During your first trip, you will spend about 10 days together, building connection, following their daily routine, and meeting with caregivers to understand your child’s needs.
Step 7: Court Process
After your bonding trip, the next step is securing the approvals needed to move forward. Once these are in place, your adoption hearing will be scheduled in the Kyrgyz Republic. If you are married, both parents must be present for the court hearing.
Step 8: Bring Your Child Home
Once the court decision is final, you will return to the Kyrgyz Republic to pick up your child. You will complete the required appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek. After your child receives their immigrant visa, you will travel home together.
