Adoption Travel to Kyrgyz Republic
A three-trip journey that brings you closer to your child at every step. From first meeting, to court approval, to the moment you travel home together, each visit builds connection, certainty, and the beginning of your life as a family.
The Three-Trip Process
Kyrgyz Republic has a three-trip model designed to prioritize the child's adjustment and the family's bonding experience. Each visit serves a distinct, vital purpose in your story.
Trip 1: Bonding
11 to 12 days in Kyrgyz Republic
-
Arrival in Bishkek
You arrive in Bishkek, where our team meets you at the airport and welcomes you. We arrange your transportation and help you settle into your accommodations so you can rest and prepare for the days ahead.
-
Go to the Orphanage
You will meet your child and their caregivers for the first time. We will help you prepare for this moment, and a translator will be with you throughout the visit. You will receive important information about your child, and we encourage you to take notes and stay in close contact with your caseworker as you move through each step.
-
Bonding Period
You will spend about 10 days visiting with your child, building connection through daily time together. Our coordinator will make sure you arrive on time for each visit. The schedule is set by your child’s caregivers and will need to be followed.
-
Adoption Commitment
At the end of your bonding visits, you may sign the commitment paperwork to move forward with your adoption and continue the process toward bringing your child home.
-
Return to the United States
You will travel home and begin preparing for the next steps as you move closer to bringing your child home.
Trip 2: Adoption Hearing

You may have an opportunity to see your child again during this trip. These moments can be brief, but they help maintain your connection as you move closer to becoming a family.
