Parental requirements for the Ukrainian Program.

Ukrainian program has some restrictions when it comes to families eligible for adoptions.
Let’s go over those:

Age?

Parents must be at least 25 years of age in order to adopt from Ukraine.

Parents must be at least 15 years older than the child they are adopting.

The younger parent should be no more than 45 years older than the child.

Citizenship?

At least one prospective adoptive parent must be a US citizen.

Marital requirements?

Foreign citizens (that’s you) must be married in order to adopt from Ukraine.

However, if the older parent is older than the child by more than 45 years, and the younger parent is older by less than 45 years, the younger parent may adopt the child individually.

If that’s at all confusing, please contact us and we’ll explain.

Children at home?

There is no restriction, you can adopt even if you already have kids.
